THE PERSON BEHIND IT
Anita Shinde.
Artist, and teacher.
Anita Shinde is a professional makeup artist and the master trainer at Lotus Pro Academy. Her work sits between two things that rarely go together — traditional Maharashtrian and Rajwadi bridal artistry, and the technical discipline of HD, 3D and airbrush makeup.
What she teaches is what she does on the floor: skin first, colour theory understood rather than memorised, and a finish that survives twelve hours, a photographer's flash and a Maharashtra summer.
She still takes bridal bookings herself. That matters more than it sounds — a trainer who has stopped working teaches last year's techniques, and bridal makeup does not stand still.
She keeps training too: in September 2024 she attended a makeup artistry seminar at Isas Beauty Center in Dubai, KHDA-attested. See the certificate.
Every bride who sits in her chair gets the same consultation, whether the booking is ₹1,500 or ₹18,500.

Bridal artistry
HD, 3D, glass finish, reverse technique, natural and soft glam, and airbrush — matched to your skin, your outfit and the light you will be photographed in.
Regional bridal looks
Maharashtrian and Rajwadi bridal work alongside western party and reception looks, with ten saree draping styles and bridal hairstyling.
Skin and hair, months ahead
Treatment plans built backwards from the wedding date — skin, scalp, colour and smoothing — so nothing is rushed in the final week.
Teaching
The 10, 30 and 90-day masterclasses are taught by Anita on live models, from the same curriculum the studio runs on downstairs.
Still learning
Training abroad as well as at home — most recently a makeup artistry seminar at Isas Beauty Center, Dubai, in September 2024.

HOW WE GOT HERE
The Lotus Pro story.
A chair, and a plan
Lotus Pro started as one artist working on brides in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, with a simple rule: the look serves the bride, never the other way around.
A studio on Mukundwadi Road
The salon opened at N-2 Cidco with dedicated makeup, hair, skin and nail stations, and an international product line rather than whatever was cheapest.
The academy
Students kept asking to learn. The academy followed — small batches, live models, and a curriculum built from real bridal work rather than a textbook.
Batch after batch
The academy now graduates full batches — certificates handed over in a hall, and students leaving with their own bookings already in the diary.

Who is Anita Shinde?
Anita Shinde founded Lotus Pro and is the master trainer at Lotus Pro Academy. She works on bridal, engagement and party makeup at the studio and personally teaches the 10, 30 and 90-day masterclasses.
Will Anita do my bridal makeup herself?
She takes bridal bookings personally, and dates go early. Tell us your date when you enquire and we will confirm her availability before you pay an advance.
Does Anita teach the courses, or an assistant?
She teaches them. The practical sessions are run on live models with her on the floor.
How long has Lotus Pro been running?
The salon has been serving Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for several years, and the academy completed its first full year with a graduating batch.
